"Inherent Duality" addresses homophobia on all levels personal and cultural, by using the Chinese Yin-Yang symbol of balance as a basis for the work.  Hand made paper, pulp-painted into each half of the design are symbols for heterosexuality and homosexuality, a strong statement that the very essence of humanity is comprised of both sexual expressions.

The encircling red ropes represent  the immense power of human love the and the intense fear of this duality.
